Realme 8i and 9i receive Realme UI 3.0 via Open Beta and Early Access Program

Android 12 based Realme UI 3.0 update is now available for two more affordable Realme phones – Realme 8i and Realme 9i. Although the testing of Realme UI 3.0 for Realme 8i is underway since March, now it received a more stable version of the new update as an open beta build. Whereas Realme 9i gets the taste of new skin through an early access program aka closed beta program. Read along to know more details about Realme UI 3.0 for Realme 9i and Realme 8i.

The company has officially confirmed the new updates on its community forum for the two affordable number series phones. And as per details, Realme 9i’s early access program goes live for 1000 slots only and will be served on a first come first serve basis. While if you own the Realme 8i, then anyone can get access to the new Realme UI 3.0 skin, thanks to the open beta program, yes, there’s no limit to seats.

The firm has mentioned that make sure your Realme 9i is running on RMX3491_11.A.13 / RMX3491_11.A.14 software version, whereas Realme 8i needs to be running on the RMX3151_11.A.41 version number. Additionally, make sure to charge your smartphone to at least 60% and has at least 5-6GB of free space.

Talking about the features, then the Realme 8i Realme UI 3.0 open beta update brings a fix for VoLTE unable to stay on the network now. Apart from that, the update has all the essential features, the features such as new 3D icons, Omoji 3D avatars, AOD 2.0, dynamic theming, new privacy controls, refreshed user interface, PC connect, and much more. Obviously, users can also access the essentials of Android 12. Now let’s take a look at the steps on how you can get the new update on your Realme 8i or Realme 9i.

Realme UI 3.0 (beta) for Realme 8i & 9i

If you own the Realme 8i or Realme 9i and your phone is running on the latest software, then you can update your phone to the Realme UI 3.0. Here are the steps to join the program.

  1. Head over to the Settings on your Realme smartphone.
  2. Then go to Software Update and tap on the Settings icon present in the top right corner.
  3. Next select Trial Versions > Early Access > Apply Now and submit your details.
  4. That’s it.

As mentioned earlier, the application will be accepted in different batches, if your application got approved, then you’ll receive the update via special OTA.
