Another Xiaomi phone has joined the list of Android 13 devices. After launching with Android 12 earlier this year, the device is now getting the stable Android 13 update. Poco X5 Pro is receiving Android 13 via MIUI 14 update globally. Let’s find out more about the Poco X5 Pro Android 13 update.
Xiaomi released the Poco X5 Pro with Android 12 OS earlier this year. Yes, Android 13 was released last year and the company should have launched it with Android 13 but then how they will claim that they have given a major update. Leaving that aside, Poco X5 Pro users can finally experience Android 13 after a few months of waiting.
Some Poco X5 Pro users shared on Twitter that they have received the stable Android 13 in the latest MIUI 14 update. Thanks to @iRaj_r and @TECH__MUKUL for sharing the update on Twitter.
The Android 13 Global update for Poco X5 Pro is rolling out with build number 14.0.1.0.TMSMIXM. The build number will be different for different regions. Since this is a major update for the device, it weighs around 4.4GB, so make sure to use WiFi for downloading the update.
The update brings April 2023 security patch to the phone. And talking about the main changes you will be seeing a bunch of Android 13 features such as per app language, improved security and privacy, small UI improvements, and some other changes. At the moment we donโt have the official changelog but it should be similar to the update for other Xiaomi phones.
Since the stable Android 13 is available globally for Poco X5 Pro, you can expect a major update soon on your phone. It is a staged rollout which means the update will take time to reach all users. Sometimes update notification doesnโt work and you might miss the update even if it’s available. So make sure to check for the update manually in Settings.
Before upgrading your phone to Android 13, donโt forget to back up important data and charge your phone to at least 50%.

Hello Ashutosh. Thank you for the information. I don’t understand why Xiaomi released a 2023 phone with an old version like Android 12. If Xiaomi continues to mislead people in this way, it will have to reconsider its sales policies in the future. Greetings from Turkey.
