Xiaomi is continuously working on Android 12 and MIUI 13 updates for its devices. Recently many Xiaomi phones have received updates in stable as well as beta phase. The latest Xiaomi phone to get Android 12 is the Poco M3 Pro 5G which is also known as the Redmi Note 10 5G in some regions. So if you have Poco M3 Pro 5G, you can officially experience Android 12 on your phone.
Poco M3 Pro is a 5G phone that was released in May last year with Android 11 out of the box. Android 11 was based on MIUI 12. Later the device got some incremental updates and MIUI 12.5 update. So Android 12 is the first major update for the Poco M3 Pro 5G, and the second if you consider MIUI 12.5 as a major update. Well, if you ask me MIUI 13 is not a worthy update either.
For the Global region the Android 12 for Poco M3 Pro/Redmi Note 10 5G is available in the Pilot phase with build number V13.0.1.0.SKSMIXM. The same build will be released to the public if everything goes as per their plan. Since it is a major update based on MIUI 13, the update will weigh more than regular security updates.
Talking about changes and new features, the Android 12 update also brings the latest April 2022 Android security patch. It brings many features of Android 12 and MIUI 13. Download Android 12 for Poco M3 Pro 5G
As mentioned earlier, currently the Android 12 based MIUI 13 update for Poco M3 Pro 5G is available in the Pilot release. It means users who have opted for the beta will get this stable update first. And if the update goes as expected, it will be rolled out widely to all users. So if you are on a stable build then you have to wait for a couple of weeks. And then it will be available as an OTA update. You can also update your device immediately using the latest recovery ROM. It is not recommended if you are not aware of its installation process.
