Poco F1 MIUI 12 Global Stable Beta Update released for Pilot Testers (with Download Link)

Pocophone F1 aka Poco F1 is one of the best selling mid-range phones of 2018, the device made its debut with MIUI 9.6 based Android Oreo 8.1. Later it gets the Android Pie update alongside the MIUI 11. Now, the company has started rolling out MIUI 12 Stable update for its first-generation Pocophone aka Poco F1. A slew of pilot testers has started receiving the stable build of MIUI 12.

The latest software is seeding with a QEJMIXM build number and involves a 1.93GB download. Poco F1 MIUI 12 Update includes a slew of new dynamic wallpapers, improved system-wide dark mode, enhanced security, and new camera functions. The newer build also brings July 2020 monthly security patch on your device along with the essential features of Android 10.

Today, Xiaomi has confirmed that the update is rolling to the users who have enrolled in the Mi Pilot testers program. Yes, for now, the update is available to selected users only, but in case you’re in a haste then I recommend you download the recovery ROM on your device and sideload it manually. But before doing this, make sure to take a complete backup of your phone’s data, also charge your device to at least 30%.

Last week, Xiaomi brings the stable MIUI 12 for the Poco X2. Hopefully, soon the company will roll out the stable build for Poco F1 as well. Till then, you can update your Poco F1 to MIUI 12 Global Stable Beta update, by sideloading this recovery ROM (V12.0.0.3.QEJMIXM).

Here’s the changelog of MIUI 12 Update for Poco F1:

  • Updated Android Security Patch to July 2020.
  • Increased system security.

To sideload the recovery ROM package, you need to head over to the system settings, then updates, then select the update package manually. Allow the prompts to install the build.

Once the installation process completed, reboot your Poco F1, once done, you can start using your device running on MIUI 12 based Android 10.
