Exclusive: Pixel 10 series durability and energy ratings are now available!

Summarize This Article:

The Google Pixel 10 series is set to launch on August 20, exactly one week from now. Just like last year, Google will launch four devices, including Pixel 10, Pixel 10 Pro, Pixel 10 Pro XL, and Pixel 10 Pro Fold. While most details about the Pixel 10, 10 Pro, and 10 Pro XL are already known, the energy efficiency and durability ratings are now also available.

The Pixel 10 has received a ‘B’ rating in the EU’s Energy Labelling (EPREL). In repeated free-fall reliability tests, it achieved an ‘A’ class rating, with 270 free falls without defects. The device packs a 4,835mAh rated battery capacity, which can last up to 49 hours and 23 minutes on a single charge.

The Pixel 10 Pro, on the other hand, gets an ‘A’ rating in energy efficiency. Like the vanilla Pixel 10, it also achieved an ‘A’ in free-fall reliability, with 270 free falls without defects. Surprisingly, it features a smaller 4,707mAh rated battery capacity compared to the base variant. However, it can last up to 51 hours and 9 minutes on a single charge.

The giant in the lineup, the Pixel 10 Pro XL, also scores a ‘B’ rating in energy efficiency, just like the base model. Although it has a rated battery capacity of 5,078mAh, it can last 48 hours and 39 minutes, which is less than both the Pixel 10 and 10 Pro. Like its siblings, it also achieved an ‘A’ rating in free-fall reliability.

According to the label, the Pixel 10 family (excluding the Pro Fold) can maintain good battery health for up to 1,000 full charge cycles under default settings, which is relatively lower compared to many other flagship models. All three models retain the IP68 water and dust resistant rating, just like last year’s models.

The Pixel 10 lineup will follow the Pixel 9 series and will receive a minimum of 7 years of OS and security updates. Pixel 10 series users will get 2 years of warranty in the EU at least.
