OxygenOS 12 (Android 12) Closed Beta Program goes live for OnePlus Nord

OxygenOS 12 is the OnePlus’s newest custom skin based on Android 12. In December, OnePlus kicked off the stable OxygenOS 12 for the OnePlus 9 and 9 Pro. The skin is already in the testing phase for the OnePlus 9R and OnePlus 8 series phones. Now the company has started recruiting Nord users for OxygenOS 12 Closed Beta Program. OnePlus shares the information of Closed Beta Test Program aka CBT on itsย community forum. The company says, “we will invite 150 people who meet the requirements with a OnePlus Nord IN device to attend this Closed Beta Program.” At the time of writing, the CBT program is limited to India, has only 150 seats. We can expect it will be expanded to other regions in the coming days with more seats. If you’re using the OnePlus Nord smartphone and want to taste the new features of Android 12, then you can participate in the CBT program.

Before moving to the features and changes list, make sure that the closed beta builds are not good for daily usage, we donโ€™t recommend updating the primary phone to these builds.

OnePlus’s newest skin – OxygenOS 12 has a bunch of new features, the list includes features such as the Canvas AOD 2.0, Work Life Balance 2.0, new Notes app, Theme Store, new at-a-glance cards and widgets, system-wide search bar, and much more.ย Not only this, but you can also access the standard features of Android 12. OnePlus has mentioned some prerequisites on its community forum for joining CBT program.

  • You are using a OnePlus Nord India variant
  • You are an active OnePlus Community member
  • You are willing to regularly communicate and report issues/suggestions to the OnePlus team on Telegram
  • The CBT version is not the stable version, which is still in development. After updating to CBT version, you’ll remain to be patient and tolerate its instability and accept all risks which might be caused by it

OnePlus Nord OxygenOS 12 Closed Beta Test Program

The wait is finally over, you can now try out the OxygenOS 12 on your OnePlus Nord by joining the beta program. OnePlus shares an application form link for the users who want to join the CBT program.

If your application got selected then youโ€™ll receive the update via special OTA. Before upgrading your device, make sure to take a backup of important data.
