Oppo brings stable Android 13 to Oppo Reno 8 Pro 5G with ColorOS 13 update after the Find X3 series. And with the latest update, there are many changes in the device which means that it is going to be a different experience after the update. Let’s find out more about the Oppo Reno 8 Pro 5G Android 13 update.

Oppo Reno 8 Pro is still one of the new flagship phones released earlier this year. The phone was released with ColorOS 12 update. And Android 13 is the first major update for the device. Luckily this isn’t going to be the last major update for the device. Oppo released an official roadmap earlier this month, and the Reno 8 Pro gets timely updates as planned.

Oppo announced the official ColorOS 13 for the Oppo Reno 8 Pro 5G on its community page. And as per the official announcement, it is a limited rollout. Although this is not a beta update, initially it will be available for testing to a limited number of users.

There is a quota of 5000 users in India and Vietnam. As of now, there is no update for other regions, but it is expected to be available soon. The official ColorOS 13 for Oppo Reno 8 Pro 5G comes with build number C.21. To receive the update, the phone must be on the A.14 or A.15 build.

Talking about new features and changes, the new update brings many new features. Most of the features are the same as OxygenOS 13 which is also based on Android 13. The update includes new aquamorphic design, new widgets, new theme palettes, smooth animations, improved gaming, and more. You can check all the features on this page.

As mentioned earlier the official ColorOS 13 for Oppo Reno 8 Pro 5G is first available for limited 5000 users. And once it is confirmed that there are no major bugs it will be available to all users. If you want to get the update early, you can go to Settings > About Device > Tap the top section. Now on the software page, tap the icon on the top right > Trial Version. Here you can apply for the update.

After applying, you can check for the update from Settings and Install the update once available. Before updating your phone make sure to back up all your important data and charge your phone to at least 50%.
