Oppo starts recruiting ColorOS 11 based Android 11 Beta users for Oppo Reno (first-gen)

Oppo released ColorOS 11 based Android 11 update for a bunch of Reno series phones. Three months ago, the first-generation Reno 10x Zoom received its second major OS upgrade. Now, the vanilla Oppo Reno (first-gen) gets the update via early access program. Yes, the company has started recruiting ColorOS 11 beta testers for the first-gen Reno smartphone in India. As always, Oppo shared the details of the early access program on its community forum. Oppo Reno users can apply to the recruitment program between 26th June to 3rd June. The company recommends, the Reno users to upgrade their smartphone to the C.37 or C.38 software version. Yes, the ColorOS 11 based Android 11 Beta is available to the users running on the latest software. For the time being, the recruitment process is limited to users in India, we can expect it will be available to other countries in the coming days.

Oppo pushed the ColorOS 11 Beta on the vanilla Reno with features like FlexDrop, Oppo Sans font, three-finger gesture to translate from Google Lens, Nearby Sharing, Super Power Saving Mode, and a slew of customizations to the Dark Mode, Always-On Display, Wallpapers, Ringtones, and Icons. As obvious, you can also use the essential features of Android 11. The update will also bump up the monthly security patch version.

Oppo Reno ColorOS 11 Beta Update

ColorOS 11 Beta is finally available for the Oppo Reno (vanilla). To get access to the beta build, all you need to do is, update your smartphone to C.37 or C.38 software version. The new patch will bump up the software version on your smartphone. If your device is running on any of these versions then you can join the early access program. Here’s how you can participate to ColorOS 11 beta program.

  1. Connect your phone to the Internet and Open Settings on your phone.
  2. Go to Software Update. Tap the Settings on the screen.
  3. Then select Apply for Beta > Update Beta version.
  4. And then complete the steps that it asks.

After filling the Android 11 beta form, officials will review your application and within a week you may get the Android 11 Beta update on your vanilla Oppo Reno. If you didn’t make in the first batch then wait for the second batch.
