Oppo starts pushing ColorOS 11 based Android 11 Stable Update for Oppo Reno 2

Last month, Oppo started the beta testing of ColorOS 11 for the vanilla Oppo Reno2. The Chinese smartphone OEM already pushed the stable build for the Reno 2F and Reno 2Z. Now the vanilla Reno 2 starts getting the ColorOS 11 based Android 11 Stable update. The update goes live for various regions including India. Obviously, it brings a slew of UI changes, improvements, and newer security patch. Here you can check everything about the Oppo Reno 2 Android 11 Update.

Oppo’s second-generation Reno phones were announced back in 2019. Now the vanilla Reno 2 is receiving its second major OS upgrade. The latest update is available for Reno 2 users in India, Malaysia, Vietnam, Pakistan, Philippines, Indonesia, Thailand, Cambodia, Myanmar, and Kazakhstan.

This time, the company recommend users to upgrade their smartphone to C.45, C.47, C.49, F.13, F.15, or F.16 software version. Yes, you’ll only receive the ColorOS 11 based Android 11 patch is your Reno 2 is running on any of these software versions. This software patch will also bump up the monthly security patch version.

Oppo Reno 2 ColorOS 11 Stable Update also bag a list of new features and UI changes. The update comes with features like Oppo Sans Font, three-finger gesture to translate using Google Lens, Nearby Sharing, Super Power Saving Mode, Dark Mode improvement, Wallpapers, FlexDrop, Always on Display and more. Other than that, the update also brings standard features of Android 11.

Oppo Reno 2 ColorOS 11 Stable Update

Oppo Reno 2 users can now upgrade their phones to the Android 11 update. If you own the Reno 2 then you will receive the update very soon via OTA. In case your smartphone didn’t receive the update, then make sure to update your smartphone to any of the afore-listed software version numbers.

In case your phone is running on newer software and you didn’t receive the OTA notification, then try to check it manually by moving to the Settings app > System > Software Update.

Prerequisites

  • Make sure to charge your Oppo Reno 2 to at least 50%.
  • Take a full backup of your device data
  • There can be some bugs as it is still in beta testing

Here’s how you can update your Oppo Reno 2 to ColorOS 11 Stable Update.

  1. At first, head over to the Settings > Software Update.
  2. Click on the gear icon available at the top right corner > Official Version Application.
  3. Tap on ColorOS 11 Stable > Download Now.
  4. That’s it.

After downloading the update, you can reboot your smartphone, once done, you can start using your Oppo Reno 2 on ColorOS 11 based Android 11 update.
