Oppo seeds ColorOS 11 based Android 11 Stable Update on Oppo F17

At the end of last month, Oppo began testing ColorOS 11 (Android 11) skin on the Oppo F17 smartphone. As the company has done the testing phase, the Oppo F17 started receiving ColorOS 11 based Android 11 stable update. Obviously, the update comes with a slew of new features, improvements, and fixes. The ColorOS 11 official version aka the stable build is finally available for the Oppo F17 smartphone. Here you can check everything about Oppo F17 Android 11 Stable update.

Oppo F17 was announced back in September 2020 with Android 10 OS. Now it’s time for the first major upgrade. As always, Oppo has shared the prerequisites on its community forum. If you want to get access to the latest ColorOS 11 update, then make sure that your smartphone is running on A.39 or A.41 software version. If your phone is running on an older build, make sure to update it to the latest software.

As for now, the update is available for Oppo F17 users in India, we can expect it will also be available in other regions in the coming days. Talking about the features and changes, then update will come with features like FlexDrop, Oppo Sans font, three-finger gesture to translate from Google Lens, Nearby Sharing, Super Power Saving Mode, and a slew of customizations to the Dark Mode, Always-On Display, Wallpapers, Ringtones, and Icons. As obvious, you can also use the essential features of Android 11.

Oppo F17 Android 11 Stable Update

Oppo F17 users running on A.39 or A.41 software version can now upgrade their smartphone to the newest ColorOS 11 based Android 11 update. Once you’ve upgraded your smartphone, it will bump up the software version to C.10. We can also expect a newer monthly security patch alongside this build.

If your smartphone is running on the latest software then you can upgrade your device to the new skin – ColorOS 11, you’ll receive the update over-the-air. In case you’ve not received the OTA yet, then I suggest you to check the software updates manually from Settings > Software Updates, if the update is available then you can click on Download or Install Now button. But, in case it is not available, then you need to wait for a few days, as the OTA updates take some time to reach every device.

Also, before updating your smartphone, make sure to take a complete backup of important data and charge your smartphone to at least 50% before diving to installation.
