Oppo Reno6 Z 5G and F19 Pro+ starts receiving Android 12 based stable ColorOS 12

Oppo has started rolling out stable Android 12 for Oppo Reno6 Z 5G and Oppo F19 Pro+. The update is available a few days before its scheduled date. As per the official roadmap, the update was to be released from January 18. But luckily, the stable Android 12 based ColorOS 12 is available for Reno6 Z 5G and F19 Pro+ at an earlier date. A few days back, the same update was rolled out for the Oppo A74 5G phone as well. And now Oppo adds three more devices to the list of phones with stable Android 12. Yes, along with the Oppo Reno 6Z 5G and Oppo F19 Pro+, the Oppo A73 is also receiving the update.

Talking about availability, the stable Android 12 for Oppo F19 Pro+ is currently available in India. And the Android 12 for Oppo Reno6 Z 5G is available in Cambodia, Thailand, Vietnam, the UAE. Both Oppo F19 Pro+ Android 12 update and Oppo Reno 6 Z 5G Android 12 update carry build number C.14.

Since it is a major update that includes Android 12 as well as ColorOS 12, you can expect the update size to be larger. And the update brings a bunch of new features including improved UI, 3D textured icons, Android 12-based widgets, new features for AOD, new privacy controls, and many other features.

If you are an Oppo F19 Pro+ or Oppo Reno6 Z 5G owner then you can expect the Android 12 OTA update on your device. This is a staged rollout which means, it will be pushed to a group of users at once and it can take a few days for rollout to all users. To get the new stable Android 12 update, your phone must be running on a required version.

  • For Oppo F19 Pro+ : A.09/A.10
  • For Oppo Reno 6 Z 5G : A.14

Sometimes the OTA update notification doesn’t arrive, so in that case, you can manually check for the update. Go to Settings > Software Updates. And once the new update is detected, tap on Download and Install to get the Android 12 update.
