Oppo has just the Android 12 based ColorOS 12 beta for Reno3 and Reno 3 Pro. The Reno3 series phones were announced back in March 2020 with Android 10 OS. Last year, the Reno3 duo received an Android 11 OS upgrade as its first major software upgrade. And now it’s a time for the second major OS upgrade – the Android 12 update. The company has announced the beta testing program for both Reno3 and Reno3 Pro. Here’s everything you need to know about it.

Oppo has officially shared the details of the beta testing program on its community forum for Reno3 series phones. If you’re using Reno3 or Reno3 Pro, then you can now upgrade your smartphone to Android 12 (ColorOS 12) beta. For the time being, the testing is live for Reno3 Pro in India and Indonesia. There are 5,000 slots in the beta program, so if you want to try out the new features, then you can join the program. You can take a part in the testing program between April 26 to April 30.

If you’re a Reno3 (non-pro) owner, then make sure that your smartphone is running on C.24 software version, while if you own the Reno3 Pro, then your phone needs to be running on C.23 or C.24. Talking about the features, then the update brings features like the new inclusive design, 3D textured icons, adopts Android 12-based widgets, new features for AOD, new privacy controls, and many other features. Oppo also packed its skin with a big list of aesthetic wallpapers, you can download these walls right here. Apart from these changes, we can expect updated security patch levels and more stability across the system.
