Oppo has started pushing ColorOS 12.1 based Android 12 update to the Oppo Reno 7 Pro 5G. The new update comes after two months of beta testing. Oppo had promised to release the update on May 10. And the company has fulfilled its promise, yes the stable Android 12 update is now available for the Reno 7 Pro 5G. The latest update is seeding with a slew of new features and improvements. The latest patch is based on the newest ColorOS 12.1, yes, the same skin available on the recently launched Oppo Find X5 series. The upgrade is allegedly rolling with ColorOS 12.1, some users have already received it and a wider rollout should follow in the coming days. If you own the Oppo Reno 7 Pro 5G and reside in India, then you can now upgrade your smartphone to the Android 12.
Before moving ahead, just want to mention that your smartphone needs to be running on the newest available software version. As per the details mentioned on Oppo’s community forum, the upgrade is available for those running on the A.12 / A.13 / A.14 software version. While the new build is rolling with C.03 build number.
Oppo Reno 7 Pro 5G picks up the ColorOS 12.1 based Android 12 update with features like Wallpaper-based theming, more default Google apps, Privacy dashboard, Dark Mode enhancements, 3D textured icons, new features for AOD, new privacy controls, and many other features.
