Oppo now open ColorOS 11 (based Android 11) Beta Program for Reno 2Z

The Chinese smartphone OEM now started testing ColorOS 11 on the Oppo Reno 2Z. The second-generation Reno lineup was announced back in 2019 with Android Pie 9.0, later it received Android 10 update. Now the device is all set to get its second major OS update. The beta build packs a flurry of new features, improvements, and new monthly security patch. Last week, Oppo released ColorOS 11 beta patch for the Oppo Reno 2 and stable build on the Reno 2F. Now the beta program is up for the Reno 2Z. According to the details, users can apply for the trail program till 18th March. The trail version is limited to the users whose smartphone is running on C.45 or C.47 software version. The beta program is restricted to the Oppo Reno 2Z users in India, it will be available for other regions in the coming days.

In terms of features, the beta build will knock up with a newer monthly security patch along with a number of UI changes. You can also access the features such as FlexDrop, Oppo Sans font, three-finger gesture to translate from Google Lens, Nearby Sharing, Super Power Saving Mode, and a slew of customizations to the Dark Mode, Always-On Display, Wallpapers, Ringtones, and Icons. Not only this, but the update also packs a slew of basic features of Android 11.

Oppo Reno 2Z Android 11 Beta Update (ColorOS 11)

If you want to update your Oppo Reno 2Z to the ColorOS 11 based Android 11 beta, then you can simply follow the below process. Before updating your device via special OTA, make sure to take a backup of important data. Also, charge your device to at least 50 percent. As I mentioned earlier, the update comes with a number of useful features, enhancements, along with the updated monthly security.

Before you apply for Oppo Reno 2Z ColorOS 11 beta program, make sure to update your device to the latest version which is C.45/C.47.

  1. Connect your phone to the Internet and Open Settings on your phone.
  2. Go to Software Update. Tap the Settings on the screen.
  3. Then select Apply for Beta > Update Beta version.
  4. And then complete the steps that it asks.

After filling the Android 11 beta form, officials will review your application and within a week you may get the Android 11 Beta update on your Reno 2Z. If you didn’t make in the first batch then wait for the second batch.
