Oppo kicks off stable Android 12 update for Find X2 and X2 Pro

Last month, Oppo originally started testing its latest Android 12-centric ColorOS 12 skin on the Find X2 series phones. Earlier this month, Oppo promised to push the official version to the Find X2 lineup from 20th December. The company has fulfilled its promise and started rolling out a stable Android 12 based ColorOS 12 update for Oppo Find X2, Find X2 Pro, and Find X2 Pro Automobili Lamborghini Edition. The availability of the official version is limited to India and Indonesia for now, will be available in other regions in the coming days or weeks. Make sure that your Find X2 series phone is running on C.74 software version, if it is running on the older version, update it to the new one.

Oppo Find X2 series was announced back in Feb 2020 with Android 10 OS, last year, it received its first major OS upgrade in the form of ColorOS 11. Now its a time for the second big overhaul. And the latest update is rolling out with a flurry of new features.

In terms of features, then Oppo Find X2 ColorOS 12 stable update brings new inclusive design, 3D textured icons, adopts Android 12-based widgets, new features for AOD, new privacy controls, and many other features. Oppo also packed its skin with a big list of aesthetic wallpapers, you can download these walls right here. Apart from these changes, we can expect updated security patch levels.

If you’re using the Oppo Find X2 series smartphone and want to get stable Android 12 update, then you can follow these steps.

Make sure your phone is running on the latest available software (C.74).

  1. At first, Open the Settings app on your Oppo Find X2 series phone.
  2. Now head over to the Software update and click on the gear icon listed on the top-right corner.
  3. Now you’ll see a official version instead of trail program, tap on it.
  4. Enter the required details in the forum shared by the company.
  5. That’s it.

Before updating your device via special OTA, make sure to take a backup of important data. Also, charge your device to at least 50 percent. As I mentioned earlier, the update comes with a number of useful features, enhancements, along with the updated monthly security.
