About a few weeks ago we shared an official Android 11 beta Roadmap from Oppo. And according to the plan, Oppo kicks off the ColorOS 11 based Android 11 beta for Reno4 Z 5G. It means if you have an Oppo Reno4 Z 5G you can finally experience the latest Android OS. Android 11 stable update will also release soon. Here you will know about Android 11 beta for Oppo Reno4 5G.
Along with the Reno4 Z 5G, Oppo also kicks off Android 11 beta for Oppo A52. And as per the roadmap, some other Oppo phones will be joining the list soon. The early access Android 11 program or Android 11 beta brings most of the features that you will also be getting on a stable build.
Reno4 Z 5G ColorOS 11 beta program is currently live in Australia, the Philippines, and Thailand. But soon the update will be available in other regions as well. We will update this article once Oppo releases the Android 11 beta or stable for other regions.
As usual, the ColorOS 11 beta program works in phases. It means you will have to register for the beta update which will be open for a few days. And then you will receive an update based on your information. If you don’t know the process we will share it later in this guide.
Oppo phones also run on a custom OS ‘ColorOS’. And it means on top of Android features Oppo users get many other features. Similarly you will be getting Android 11 features and ColorOS 11 features on this beta update.
Some of the basic features include new gestures, redesigned UI, Artist wallpapers, three-finger translation, Nearby sharing, a new notification layout, a new power menu, and a lot more. The improved UI on ColorOS 11 provides an immersive look and enhanced performance. In this ColorOS 11 based Android 11 Beta, the Adaptive Sleep feature is not working but as per Oppo, it will work in upcoming updates.
Till now some brands like OnePlus, Samsung, Vivo, Oppo managed to release stable Android 11 for their flagship devices. And Oppo is all set for expanding their Android 11 running device list.
How to Apply for Android 11 Beta on Reno4 Z 5G
The Android 11 beta application will be open till 14th December. And you can register if you belong to Australia, the Philippines, and Thailand. You can follow the given steps to apply for ColorOS 11 beta.
First, make sure to update your device to the latest version. The software version must be A.25 or higher.
If you are on the recommended software version, go to Settings > Software Update section. You will find a small Settings icon, click on it. Then on the next screen click on ‘Apply for Beta Version’. And then select Update Beta Version. Then follow the instructions given in the app.
After submitting the application form, wait for a week. The ColorOS team will review your application and push the Android 11 beta accordingly.
You will receive an Android 11 beta OTA update on your device. And then you can update from the Software Update section.
