Oppo Find X5 Lite gets Android 12 based ColorOS 12.1 update

In Oppo’s Find X5 series, the Find X5 Lite is the only device that comes with Android 11 OS, while the vanilla Find X5 and the Find X5 Pro come with Android 12 OS out of the box. Now if you own the Oppo Find X5 Lite and waiting for the new update, then I have a good piece of news for you, yes, Oppo finally kicks off the Android 12 based ColorOS 12.1 stable update for the Oppo Find X5 Lite. Oppo officially confirms the news of the Android 12 update on its community forum. As per the information shared by the firm, the new upgrade is available for users residing in France and will be available to everyone soon. Oppo recommends that your smartphone is running on the A.16 software version, if your phone is running on an older version, make sure to update it to the newer one. It is a staged rollout and the first batch of phones has already received the new update over the air.

The new software is rolling with a bunch of new features to the Find X5 Lite, the list includes features like 3D textured icons, adopts Android 12-based widgets, new features for AOD, new privacy controls, and new inclusive design, and many other features. Oppo also packed its skin with a big list of aesthetic wallpapers, you can download these walls right here. Apart from these changes, we can expect updated security patch levels and more stability across the system.

If you own the recently launched Oppo Find X5 Lite and want to taste the new features, then you can upgrade your system to the new Android 12 update. You can head over to Settings > Software Update > ColorOS 12 version, then request an update. Once done, you will receive the ColorOS 12.1 build over the air with new features and goodies. The update will bump up the software version to C.20.

Make sure to take a backup of important data before upgrade your smartphone to the new software version and also charge your device to at least 50%.
