Oppo Find X2 (Pro) Android 12 based ColorOS 12 beta program goes live

In the month of October, a couple of smartphone OEMs shared its plan on the upcoming Android 12 system upgrade and the Oppo is one of them. The company detailed its newest skin – ColorOS 12 alongside the rollout timeline and other details. The beta program went live for the Oppo Find X3 Pro, last month.

Now company has dropped a new tweet from ColorOS twitter handle and mentioned that beta program goes live for the Oppo Find X2 series phones. Here you can check everything about the Oppo Find X2 and Find X2 Pro ColorOS 12 Beta update.

Oppo says that Android 12 based ColorOS 12 beta program is out for Oppo Find X2, Find X2 Pro, and Find X2 Automobili Lamborghini Edition. For the time being, the beta program is limited for users in India and Indonesia.

Oppo Find X2 series users can take a part in the beta program between November 15 to November 22. And as for now, 5,000 Find X2 series users can opt the ColorOS 12 beta program. As always, the company mentions the required software version to see the trial program in the settings app. This time, the required version is the C.73. Explore more about ColorOS 12 here.

If you’re using the Oppo Find X2 series smartphone and want to join the ColorOS 12 beta program, then you can follow these steps.

Before moving to the other details, take care that beta updates are not build for daily use, opt the program if you’ve a secondary device.

  1. At first, Open the Settings app on your Oppo Find X2 series phone.
  2. Now head over to the Software update and click on the gear icon listed on the top-right corner.
  3. Now you’ll see a trial program option, tap on it.
  4. Enter the required details in the forum shared by the company.
  5. That’s it.

Now your application has submitted successfully, if there’s an empty slot (5,000 seats) in the beta program, then you’ll receive the update within the 3 days.

Before updating your device via special OTA, make sure to take a backup of important data. Also, charge your device to at least 50 percent. As I mentioned earlier, the update comes with a number of useful features, enhancements, along with the updated monthly security.

Talking about the ColorOS 12, then it comes with features such as the new inclusive design, 3D textured icons, adopts Android 12-based widgets, new features for AOD, new privacy controls, and many other features.
