The latest Oppo phones to get the Android 13 based official ColorOS 13 are the Oppo Find X2, Find X2 Pro, and Find X2 Pro Automobili Lamborghini Edition. The Find X2 series is finally getting stable Android 13 after a long wait.
The Oppo Find X2 series was launched as a premium flagship phone in 2020 with Android 10. Later it got two major updates without much wait. But since the device is old, the company has to prioritize support for its new phones. And thus the Oppo Find X2 series is getting the official ColorOS 13 update late. This is probably the last major update for the device.
Oppo Find X2 and Find X2 Pro Android 13 update has started rolling out in India and Indonesia. It will soon be available in other regions. The Android 13 update is available with software version H.48. Since this is a major update, it weighs more than regular security updates. As usual, the phone needs to be on the latest version of Android 12 (F.24) to get the update.
Android 13 based ColorOS 13 is a big update and so without a doubt, you get to see multiple changes and new features. The list of new features includes Aquamorphic design, improved animations, new app icons, support for big widgets and big folder on the home screen, per app language preference, notification permission for each app, and many other features. Along with new features, you can also expect update in the security patch level.
If you are an Oppo Find X2 series user, you can expect the Android 13 OTA update on your phone anytime. This is a staged rollout and so it may take a few days to reach all the users. In case OTA notification doesn’t work on your device, you need to check for the update manually from Settings.
