Oppo F17 now receives ColorOS 11 based Android 11 Beta Update

Oppo F17 Pro is one of the select Oppo’s mid-range smartphones to receive the new ColorOS 11 update last year. Back in November 2020, Oppo released the major update for the Oppo F17 Pro. Now it’s a time for the vanilla Oppo F17. Oppo had already confirmed about the release while sharing the roadmap for month of May. Now the company has started recruiting beta testers for Oppo F17 ColorOS 11 (Android 11) Beta Update. Here you can check everything about the new update.

Talking about the availability, then the beta program is live for the Oppo F17 users in India. The recruitment program is open till 28th May in which any Oppo F17 user can take a part and taste the features of Oppo’s newest skin. Although, if you want to participate in the beta program, then make sure that your smartphone runs on any of these two software versions A.37 / A.39. The update packs a flurry of UI changes, improvements, and fixes.

In terms of changes, then the ColorOS 11 bags features like FlexDrop, Oppo Sans font, three-finger gesture to translate from Google Lens, Nearby Sharing, Super Power Saving Mode, and a slew of customizations to the Dark Mode, Always-On Display, Wallpapers, Ringtones, and Icons. Obviously, users can also access the essential features of Android 11 after sideloading the update. Apart from the features, then the update should also bumps up the monthly security patch version on your device.

Oppo F17 ColorOS 11 Beta Update (Android 11)

Oppo F17 (non-pro) users can now participated in the trail program and get access to the features of ColorOS 11 based Android 11 update on their smartphone. If you want to take a part in the beta program, then make sure that your smartphone is running on the latest software version available (which is A.37 / A.39). Also, charge your smartphone to at least 50% before diving to installation. Here’s how you can participate to ColorOS 11 beta program.

  1. Connect your phone to the Internet and Open Settings on your phone.
  2. Go to Software Update. Tap the Settings on the screen.
  3. Then select Apply for Beta > Update Beta version.
  4. And then complete the steps that it asks.

After filling the Android 11 beta form, officials will review your application and within a week you may get the Android 11 Beta update on your Oppo F17. If you didn’t make in the first batch then wait for the second batch.
