OnePlus kicks-off OxygenOS 11 Open Beta 3 Update for OnePlus 7 and 7T Series

Two months ago, OnePlus initially pushed the OxygenOS 11 open beta to both the OnePlus 7 Series and 7T Series phones. Last month, both phones received the incremental update in the form of the second open beta build. Now the company has pushed yet another update to the OnePlus 7, 7 Pro, 7T, and 7T Pro, obviously, this is the OxygenOS Open Beta 3 update. The third beta build knocks up with a number of improvements along with some optimizations. OxygenOS 11 Open Beta 3 update on OnePlus 7 and 7 Pro is seeding with OP7Pro_O2_BETA_3, while it is OP7TPro_O2_BETA_3 for OnePlus 7T Pro, the incremental OTA measures around 188MB of download size. While the full ROM weighs more than 2GB.

Talking about the changes, then the latest build bring improvements to the unlocking animation effects, along with a number of bug fixes. The list includes fixes like, slow charging rate, lagging issue in screen-recording, HD playback for Netflix, along with improvements for double tap to wake feature. Other than that, the OnePlus also addresses the Bluetooth issue and also improves the stability of Wi-Fi connection.

Aside from the new changes, you can still use the basic features of Android 11. The company also mentioned that enabling AOD will consume more power than usual, however, the issue will be fixed in the upcoming builds. Download OnePlus 7 and 7T Series OxygenOS 11 Open Beta 3 Update

OxygenOS 11 Open Beta 3 Update is available for OnePlus 7, 7 Pro, OnePlus 7T, and 7T Pro phones. If your phone is running on the second open beta build, then you can easily update your device via airborne update. While if you’re phone is running on Android 10, then at first you need to sideload the open beta. Once you’ve updated your device to the Open Beta, you’ll receive the incremental update over-the-air.

Before updating your phone to the newer software, make sure to charge it to at least 30%, also take a complete backup of data.

To update your device from open beta to second open beta, you can head over to Settings > System > System Updates. It will search for the update and display the latest update. Click on Download & Install to begin the process.
