OnePlus starts rolling out a new OxygenOS incremental update for OnePlus 8 series phones. And this build is tagged with OxygenOS 11.0.10.10 version number. The newest upgrade comes after October’s incremental build – OxygenOS 11.0.9.9. OnePlus addresses a couple of issues in this update and also brings a newer monthly security patch. At the time of writing, the update is available in India for both 8 series models, we got the update on our 8 Pro. However, OnePlus has not confirmed the rollout yet on its community forum, but we can expect it will be available to everyone in the coming days. As it is an incremental patch, it weighs less compared to the major releases, so you can quickly upgrade your phone to the newer version.
Moving to the changes and fixes, then update brings optimization to the user interface of Settings, comes with WhatsApp crashing issue fix, and also fixes Google Assistant not loading in Setup Wizard. OxygenOS 11.0.10.10 update also bags the new December 2021 monthly security patch. Here’s the full changelog you can check before upgrading your device.

You can move to Settings > System > System Update to check the new updates.
OnePlus also allows sideloading OTA updates if your device is running on the latest required version. So if you want to manually update your phone, you can download the OTA package from Oxygen Update or from the official OnePlus download page.
Before upgrading to the latest version, make sure to take a backup of your data and also charge your phone to at least 50%.
