OnePlus rolls out OxygenOS update for OnePlus 6 and 6T

Three months back, the OnePlus 6 series received OxygenOS update with September monthly security patch and enhancements. Now the company has started rolling out an incremental update for both models with OxygenOS version number. The update carries November 2021 monthly security patch and more. The new incremental firmware measure around 384MB in size for download, for the time being, OnePlus has not officially confirmed the rollout but there are some users who have reported getting the new update. Not only this, but some users also claim that this patch fixes the Gmail notification issue, however, the company is yet to address the Gmail sync and brightness issues.

Talking about the other changes, then as per the changelog, the update carries last month’s November 2021 monthly security patch, improved system stability, as well as bugs fixes. OnePlus usually push incremental updates through staged rollout, the company is doing the same with this update. At the moment the update is available to select OnePlus 6 and 6T users, will be available to everyone within a few days. You can check the new updates in system updates settings.

In case if you don’t see the update in System updates but want to update immediately. Then you can download the update file from the Oxygen Updater app or any trusted websites. And then you can install it from Settings > System > System updates > Settings icon > Local Upgrade. Now select the downloaded file and wait for the process.
