OnePlus rolls out OxygenOS 11.1.1.1 update for OnePlus 6 and 6T

Last month is big for both OnePlus 6 and 6T users, as the three-year-old OnePlus phones received stable Android 11-based OxygenOS 11 update. Now the company has released an incremental update for both phones with OxygenOS 11.1.1.1 version number. This is the first patch after the major upgrade and comes with the updated monthly security patch alongside a few improvements. As always, the company shared the information about the new update on its community forum, the new incremental patch’s build is 11.1.1.1. For the time being, the update is rolling for the OnePlus 6 and 6T users, it will be available to everyone within a few days. The new build weighs humongous 2,095MB (~2GB) of size for downloading, I suggest you to connect your device to a stable Wi-Fi network for faster downloading.

In terms of features and changes, then OnePlus 6 and 6T receives September 2021 monthly security patch with OxygenOS 11.1.1.1 update along with the optimization to power consumption and network connection. OnePlus 6 and 6T users can now upgrade their phones to the new incremental update. However, updates on OnePlus phones are normally rolls out in batches, it is already live for select users, while the pending users will receive it within a few days. In case you’ve not received the update, then you can move to Settings > System > System Updates and update your smartphone to the newer version.

In case if you don’t see the update in System updates but want to update immediately. Then you can download the update file from the Oxygen Updater app or any trusted websites. And then you can install it from Settings > System > System updates > Settings icon > Local Upgrade. Now select the downloaded file and wait for the process.
