OnePlus rolls out OxygenOS 11.0.12.12 update for OnePlus 8T

Just a few days ago, OnePlus kicked off a new incremental software update for the OnePlus 8 series phones. Now the company has started pushing a new OxygenOS to the OnePlus 8T. The latest software is seeding with the new December 2021 monthly security patch and major bugs fixes. Here you can check everything about OnePlus 8T OxygenOS 11.0.11.11 and 11.0.12.12 update.

However, this is a small upgrade weighing 116MB in size. OnePlus releases the new update for European, NA, and Indian variants. The firmware is tagged with 11.0.12.12.KB05BA build number for Europe, 11.0.12.12.KB05AA for NA, and 11.0.11.11.KB05DA for India. As always, the update is rolling in a staged manner, already available to many OnePlus 8T users, will also be available on the pending phones.

Talking about the features and changes, then OnePlus seeds the new incremental brings optimization to the user interface of Settings. The update comes with a fix for the Google Assistant and Google Pay not displaying as expected. Apart from that, there’s a fix for WhatsApp crashing issue and December 2021 monthly security patch. Here’s the complete changelog.

    • Optimized the UI display of Settings interface
    • Fixed the issue that Google Assistant and Gpay doesn’t display as expected in the Setup Wizard
    • Fixed the low probability issue of WhatsApp crash
    • Updated Android security patch to 2021.12

You can move to Settings > System > System Update to check the new updates.

OnePlus also allows sideloading OTA updates if your device is running on the latest required version. So if you want to manually update your phone, you can download the OTA package from Oxygen Update or from the official OnePlus download page.

Before upgrading to the latest version, make sure to take a backup of your data and also charge your phone to at least 50%.
