OnePlus Nord OxygenOS 11 update planned to release next week

OnePlus is testing its latest OxygenOS 11 skin on a bunch of smartphones. Back in October 2020, OnePlus kicked-off OxygenOS 11 based Android 11 update for the OnePlus 8 series. Now the company is planned to release it for other phones as well. Today, the company has shared details of its newest skin for other phones.

The company is set to release the Android 11 based OxygenOS 11 update to the OnePlus Nord. OnePlus is all set to expand the portfolio of its smartphones running on OxygenOS 11. Although, in the early phase, the update will be available via open beta program.

If you want to get access to the OxygenOS 11 based Android 11 via open beta. Then, make sure to update your smartphone to the latest available software version. Aside from the OnePlus Nord, the company has also mentioned that testing is undergoing for OnePlus 7 and 7T series phones and it will be available shortly. While the details of OnePlus 6 and 6T series along with Nord 10 5G and Nord 100 will be shared in the future.

OxygenOS 11 bags a list of useful features, new build comes with a new power menu, new UI for the weather app, a slew of Always-On Display function (including 10 new clock styles), notifications bubble, resize PiP videos sport, new icon shapes, enhanced security, and more. Other than that, it has essential features of Android 11, it also pack some new wallpapers.

This week, OnePlus will share the Open Beta builds for the OnePlus Nord. You can simply download the builds from the OnePlus Community, or from our website as well. And put it on your smartphone’s root directory, then you can sideload it manually from the Settings > System > System Updates, then click on local upgrade and give the file. That’s it.

PS: We didn’t recommend flashing the beta builds on your primary phone. But if you’re eagerly waiting for the Android 11 update then you can sideload it on your OnePlus Nord.

Before installing the update, make sure to take a complete backup of important data, also make sure that your smartphone is charged at least 30%.
