OnePlus started manufacturing budget and mid range phones last year. And the OnePlus Nord is a popular series from OnePlus which includes the OnePlus Nord N10. And as per the OnePlus update schedule, the OnePlus Nord N10 finally starts receiving the Android 11 update. The OnePlus Nord N10 Android 11 update is available as the OxygenOS 11 update.
Recently OnePlus revised its update policy for the flagship devices. And as the OnePlus Nord N10 is a budget phone, it still has one major update policy. So the Android 11 is the first and last Android update for OnePlus Nord N10. But the device will still receive security updates for 3 years.
The OnePlus Nord N10 was released last year with Android 10 based Oxygen OS 10 out of the box. And as per the OnePlus Android rollout schedule, finally OnePlus kicks off the Android 11 stable update for OnePlus Nord N10.
Some users already received the update and as per the screenshots from users, the Android 11 for OnePlus Nord N10 is available with build version 11.BE89BA(EA), 11BE86AA (Global), 11.BE8CF (MetroPCS). And since it is a major update, expect the update to weigh more than other security updates. The Android 11 update on OnePlus Nord N10 brings the June 2021 Android security patch.
Talking about new features, then expect many changes starting with the major UI changes which are optimized for easy navigation if you are using one hand. Other features include easy Dark Mode control, Game Space for optimized gaming, new clock styles in Ambient display, etc. And obviously, you will be getting Android 11 features along with OxygenOS 11. - Updated to OxygenOS 11 version

Camera
- Updated the camera UI and optimized some of the function paths to offer more convenient operation
- Newly added HEVC codec to reduce video storage size seamlessly, capture and shoot more without compromising on quality
- Newly added access to a third-party app to share the picture by pressing and holding it in preview
- Newly added the quick access to recording mode by pressing and holding the shutter button and by sliding the button, you can easily zoom in or zoom out
- Newly added the playback display in Time-lapse mode to show the actual filming time
Ambient Display
- Newly added Insight clock style, a joint creation with Parsons School of Design. It will change according to the phone usage data (To set: Settings > Customization > Clock on ambient display)
- Newly added Canvas feature that can automatically draw a wireframe picture based on a lock screen photo on your phone（Path: Settings – Customization – Wallpaper – Canvas – Choose photo preview and it can be generated automatically）
Games
- Newly added Gaming Tools box for convenient switches of Pro Gaming Mode. You can now choose three ways of notifications: text-only, heads up and block just for your immersive gaming experience
- Newly added quick reply feature in a small window for WhatsApp and INS (Enable it by swiping down from upper right/left corners of the screen in gaming mode)
- Newly added mis-touch prevention feature. Enable it, swipe down from the top of the screen, click and the notification bar will pop out
Dark Mode
- Added a shortcut for Dark Mode, you can pull down the Quick Settings panel and find it
- Supported automatically enable by time range (path: Settings – Display – Dark Mode – Turn on automatically – Automatically enable from sunset to sunrise / Custom time range)
Android 11 for OnePlus Nord N10
The OnePlus Nord N10 Android 11 update is only available to users with MetroPCS OnePlus Nord N10 (Also now available to other variants). OnePlus has not announced the update on the forum as it looks like a carrier exclusive update. Finally, the Android 11 update is official for the Global as well as EU variant. So if you have OnePlus Nord N10 and waiting for Android 11 then you don’t have to wait much as it will be available to all units soon. OnePlus has also shared it on their official forum.
In case if you don’t see the update notification, you can check for the update manually. To check the update go to Settings > System > Software Update. Take a full backup of your phone and charge your phone to at least 50%.
