OnePlus Nord gets OxygenOS Open Beta 3 Update with a bunch of improvements

Last month, OnePlus initially started testing the OxygenOS 11 beta on the OnePlus Nord. OxygenOS 11 is the company’s latest custom skin build around the Android 11. Later, the device received the open beta 2 update with a number of bug fixes, but now the company has started pushing one more beta build to the OnePlus Nord with a list of improvements regarding camera and display. Here’s everything you need to know about OnePlus Nord OxygenOS open beta 3 update.

The third beta build on the OnePlus Nord is seeding with Nord_R_OBT_O2_210129 build number and measures around 195MB of size for downloading. OnePlus addresses a list of known issues in the OxygenOS Open Beta 3 update.

Talking about the details, then the newest update fixes the Canvas AOD issue for Ambient display, alarm clock issues, also fixes the white scape in notification bar and icon overlap for lock screen. Other than that, OnePlus overhauled two camera issues, you can now open camera app using quick gestures and also play videos recorded from front camera.

Obviously, you can access the basic features of OxygenOS 11 on your OnePlus Nord. The OxygenOS 11 comes with features like a new power menu, new UI for the weather app, a slew of Always-On Display function (including 10 new clock styles), notifications bubble, resize PiP videos sport, new icon shapes, enhanced security, and more. Download OnePlus Nord OxygenOS 11 Open Beta 3 Update

OxygenOS Open Beta 3 is now available to download for the OnePlus Nord. Updating your OnePlus device from stable Update to beta update will not delete any data. Whereas if you want to rollback to stable build then it will delete all user data. Make sure to take a full backup in both cases to avoid any issue.

If your OnePlus Nord is already running on the OxygenOS 11 open beta, then you can simply update your device via OTA. But in case if you didnโ€™t get the notification, you can check it manually. Go to Settings > System > System Updates. It will search for the update and display the latest update. Click on Download & Install to begin the process.

If your OnePlus Nord is running on the stable update, then at first, you need to sideload OxygenOS 11 based Android 11 open beta on your OnePlus Nord. Once you’ve updated your device to the Open Beta, you’ll receive the incremental update over-the-air by which you can update your OnePlus Nord to Open Beta 3. All done, reboot your smartphone and start using the latest open beta 3 on your OnePlus Nord.
