OnePlus kicks off a new OxygenOS incremental update for Nord 2

Just a few days ago, OnePlus pushed two incremental updates to the Nord 2 smartphone, the A.17 with February 2022 monthly security patch, followed by the A.18 with a fix for freezing issue in Gallery. OnePlus is seeding the new update on Nord 2 with the DN2103_11.A.19 software version. At the moment, the update is available in the EU region, wider rollout should follow in the coming days. As an incremental upgrade, it doesn’t require a huge amount of data for downloading, you can easily update your phone over mobile data or WiFi. It measures only 173MB in size and still comes with the February 2022 monthly security patch.

Moving to the changes, then the fresh build comes with a small changelog comparing the previous OTA patches. OnePlus mentions it brings more stability to the system and also fixed some known issues. As the company has promised to release OxygenOS 12 for Nord 2 in the first half of 2022, now we can expect that beta testing is not far away. As I said earlier, for now, the update is available in the EU region, will join India and NA in the coming days. OnePlus also allows us to install the update locally using the OTA Zip file. So if the update is not available on your phone and it’s running A.19 then you can download the OTA Zip file from the Oxygen Updater app or other sources. Place the file in the root directory. Go to System Update > click on gear icon > Local upgrade and install the Zip file.

Before updating, always make sure to backup your phone, and charge your phone to at least 50%. You can use the Local Upgrade option in System Update to install incremental OTA zip.
