OnePlus is going to release its Android 14 skin on September 25

OnePlus has announced that its Android 14-focused custom skin, OxygenOS 14, will be unveiled on September 25th. Interestingly, this announcement comes just two days after Samsung’s announcement of their annual developer conference, scheduled for October 5th. The event where the South Korean tech company will announce the next version of One UI – One UI 6 based on Android 14.

Android 14 is currently in its final testing phase and is poised for an imminent public release. As a result, Android OEMs are accelerating their efforts, gearing up to launch their versions of the Android 14 skin for respective eligible devices. OnePlus says, OxygenOS 14 will be one of the first operating systems released based on Android 14.

The company has also confirmed that the Android 14 update for OnePlus phones will have a big focus on performance and to make things better OnePlus is introducing the Trinity Engine. The tech is going to address six key technologies including CPU Vitalization, RAM Vitalization, ROM Vitalization, HyperBoost, HyperTouch, and HyperRendering. The Trinity Engine addresses industry-wide challenges in pursuing higher power consumption efficiency, better multi-tasking capability, and more enduring fast and smooth experience. Under the hood of the engine are six innovative technologies, including CPU Vitalization, RAM Vitalization, ROM Vitalization, HyperBoost, HyperTouch, and HyperRendering. Combined, these technologies guarantee a versatile, fast, and smooth experience in scenarios such as multi-tasking, intensive mobile gaming, and long-term usage.

OnePlus has been testing the Android 14 on a couple of phones including OnePlus 11, Nord 3, and OnePlus 11R. We can expect that the OnePlus 11 will be the first phone to get a taste of the stable version of the update.
