The OnePlus 9R is now receiving Android 14 update with OxygenOS 14. Similar to the previous year, this update follows shortly after the OnePlus 10R update. However, it may take some time before the update is widely rolled out. Let’s delve into more details about the Android 14 update for the OnePlus 9R.
The OnePlus 9R was released in 2021 with Android 10 based OxygenOS 10 OS. The Android 14 is the fourth major update for the device and probably the last major update. Still four year of major update is impressive.
According to the OnePlus community, some users have already received the major Android 14 based OxygenOS 14 update on their OnePlus 9R device. The Android 14 update for OnePlus 9R is rolling out in India. First the update is available to beta users and later in few days the update will be available to everyone.

The update is rolling out with build number LE2101_14.0.0.300(EX01). And the update also take Android security patch level to December 2023. Since this is a major update, you get to experience many new features and improvements.
As of now we donโt have the complete changelog information, but all the features are going to be same as the update for other OnePlus phones. The list of new features include ability to extract objects from photos, improved service framework functionality, improved privacy related to media permission, Trinity engine for better performance and less power consumption, Aquamorphic themed ringtones, and more. As mentioned earlier, the update is currently available to beta users, but in a couple of days it should be available to non-beta users. Make sure you manually check for the update to enjoy new features as soon as the update is available. You can check for the update by going to Settings > About Device > Up to Date.
