February 2022 Android security patch is now reaching more devices. Yesterday, OnePlus released updates for some phones that brought the latest security patches. And two more phones joined the list. OnePlus has released a new incremental OxygenOS 11 update for the OnePlus 8T and OnePlus Nord N100 that comes with the latest Android security patch.
In the past few months, OnePlus skipped security patches for a bunch of phones. Finally, the OEM is providing the latest security patch to all devices one by one. OnePlus Nord 2, OnePlus 7/7T Series, OnePlus 9RT are among the OnePlus phones that got the update this month. Now OnePlus 8T and OnePlus Nord N100 have also joined this list.
OnePlus 8T OxygenOS 11.0.13.13 update comes with build number 11.0.13.13.KB05AA. It is a small incremental update that comes with a couple of bug fixes. But the changelog only shows the security patch changes. Below you can check the changelog.

The OnePlus Nord N100 is getting the OxygenOS 11.0.4/11.0.5 update depending on the region. It is also a small incremental update with a couple of changes and bug fixes. You can find the full changelog below.

The update availability can vary per region. As usual, it is a staged rollout. So if you are a OnePlus 8T or OnePlus Nord N100 user, then you will receive the update within a few days. As it is rolling out in batches some of you may have already received the update. You can also check for the update by going to Settings > System > System Update. Once it shows the latest update, click on Download and Install.
OnePlus also allows us to install updates locally. So if you want to update your phone immediately, you can install the OTA zip file. You can get the Incremental OTA zip file on the Oxygen Updater app or from the official OnePlus website. After downloading the correct OTA zip, you can sideload it from System Update > Gear icon > Local Upgrade. Select the OTA file and then it will install on your phone. Reboot and enjoy the new update.
Before upgrading your phone, make sure to take a full backup and also charge your phone to at least 50%.
