Yesterday, OnePlus released a minor OxygenOS update for the OnePlus 8 and 8 Pro. The same version is now rolling to the OnePlus 8T and OnePlus 9R. Yes, the new update is seeding with an updated monthly security patch, slow charging issue fix, a few optimizations, and fixes. OnePlus is seeding the new software on the 9R with the LE2101_11_C.15 build number, while the 8T picks up the incremental upgrade with KB2001_11.C.15_1150_202204021905 firmware version. It is a minor upgrade measure under 300MB in size for downloading, you can quickly download it over cellular data or a WiFi network. The update is rolling in a staged manner and will be available to everyone within a few days, some users have already received the new firmware.
Since the last update, the OnePlus 8T and 9R owners face slow charging issues. Now the changelog of the new update hints at a fix for the slow charging issue, more stability while making phone calls, addresses not being able to use the face unlock feature, abnormal display issues in some scenarios, abnormal notifications when the camera is running, and a few more issues. If you are a OnePlus 8T or OnePlus 9R owner, then you can check for the update from Settings > System > System Update. OnePlus also allows sideloading OTA updates if your device is running on the latest required version. So if you want to manually update your phone, you can download the OTA package from Oxygen Update or from the official OnePlus download page.
Before upgrading to the latest version, make sure to take a backup of your data and also charge your phone to at least 50%.
