Are you an Android user? If yes, are you happy with the Android update you’ve received on your phone? If you are a OnePlus user, you would be receiving monthly updates, and lately, these updates are coming more frequently than expected and that’s great for the user experience. The OnePlus 8, OnePlus 8 Pro, OnePlus 8T, and OnePlus 9R are now getting a new incremental C.21 update.
These four phones are known to receive the same update at the same time or at intervals of one to two days. The last incremental C.20 update for these OnePlus phones was released in the last week of May. And this time also these phones are getting the same update at the same time.
The new OxygenOS update for the OnePlus 8, OnePlus 8 Pro, OnePlus 8T, and OnePlus 9R comes with build number C.21. The update for all the models is currently rolling out in India. And since it’s a minor update with minor fixes and improvements, it doesn’t weigh much. Since the update is similar and contains the same changes, you can check out the changelog below.
OxygenOS C.21 Update Changelog
- System
- [Improved] system stability
- [Fixed] the issue that screen kept on abnormally in certain scenarios after locking
- [Fixed] the issue that some gesture operations worked abnormally after enabling the Quick launch
- Camera
- [Fixed] the issue of crash when opening Ultra Steady in certain scenarios
If you are using one of the mentioned devices and are based in India, you should get the incremental OxygenOS update soon. Since it is a staged rollout, it might take some time to arrive on all eligible phones. You can also check for the update manually by going to Settings > About Device > OxygenOS icon and checking for the update. And once the update is available tap on download and install.
If the update is not available, you also have the option to sideload the OTA zip file to update immediately. But for this, you need C.21 OTA zip file that you can get from the Oxygen Updater app or other trusted sources.
Before upgrading to the latest version, make sure to take a backup of your data and also charge your phone to at least 50%.
