OnePlus 8 and OnePlus 8 Pro are getting C.20 Incremental Update

A new Incremental OxygenOS update is now rolling out to OnePlus 8 and OnePlus 8 Pro. The new update comes with C.20 build. It is a small security update for both phones. It is an update over the last C.17 update which was released only two weeks back. Let’s find out more about the OxygenOS C.20 update for the OnePlus 8 and the OnePlus 8 Pro.

Recently OnePlus has released security updates to its bunch of phones including OnePlus 10 Pro, OnePlus 9RT, Nord N10, and more. And now it’s time for the OnePlus 8 and OnePlus 8 Pro. We believe the update is also rolling out to OnePlus 8T and OnePlus 9R but we don’t have any screenshots as of now.

OxygenOS C.20 for OnePlus 8 Pro

The new update for OnePlus 8 Pro comes with build number IN2021_11.C.20. And for the OnePlus 8, it will be the same except for the model number. Both the updates are rolling out in India, but they will be available in other regions soon. Although it is a minor incremental update, it weighs around 1.27GB.

Now coming to changes, the C.20 update brings the May 2022 Android security patch along with other improvements. You can check the official changelog below.

If you are a OnePlus 8 or OnePlus 8 Pro user in India, then you should get the update soon. The OTA update is rolling out in batches so for some users it can take time while some will get it early. You can also check for the update manually by going to Settings > About Device > Software Update and tap on check for update. If the update is available click on Download and Install.

Before upgrading to the latest version, make sure to take a backup of your data and also charge your phone to at least 50%.
