OnePlus 11 gets Android 14 Beta 2 with bug fixes

Last month, several smartphone manufacturers, including OnePlus, began testing the Android 14 beta on their flagship devices. OnePlus initiated the first beta for its premium OnePlus 11 smartphone. Obviously, the first beta is not good for daily usage, to make the experience better, today, the company has released a second beta for the OnePlus 11.

OnePlus officially confirms the gradual upgrade on its community forum. The second beta comes with CPH2447_14.0.0.40 (EX01), although, it is a gradual upgrade, still requires a big chunk of data for downloading. Yes, it needs 5.86GB of data for installation. If you own a OnePlus 11 and want to try out the Android 14 beta, then make sure that your phone is running on the latest software version.

Today’s release remains limited to the global variant, it is not available for T-Mobile and Verizon variants. Make sure that your phone has at least 30% of battery and 4GB of storage. For features, Android 14 comes with features including new smart scaling, better battery life, restrict access for photos and videos, satellite connectivity, app cloning, predictive back gestures, security enhancements, and much more.

  • Fixes the issue that red screen flashes when creating a new calendar
  • Fixes the issue that WLAN malfunctions in certain scenarios
  • Fixes the issue that red screen is seen when switching from Guest mode to Owner mode in certain scenarios

Download Android 14 Beta 2 for OnePlus 11

To install the Android 14 beta 2 on your OnePlus 11, you need a ROM package. You can download the package from the links below, but make sure to download the correct ROM.

Pre-requisites:

  • The method is not applicable to T-mobile/Verizon devices
  • Charge your device to at least 50%
  • Make sure a minimum 4GB space is available on your phone
  • Backup your data as this process will delete all data

How to Upgrade OnePlus 11 to Android 14 Beta 2 (EU & IN)

  1. Copy the downloaded Android 14 ROM to your phone.
  2. Go to Settings > About Device on your phone. Tap on the Version.
  3. It will show software information, tap 7-8 times on the Build Number to enable developer options.
  4. Now go to Settings > About device > Up to date > Click the top right button > Local install.
  5. Select the ROM and then choose the extract option. The ROM will extract and upgrade your device.
  6. After the upgrade, tap on the Restart option.

How to Upgrade OnePlus 11 to Android 14 Beta 2 (NA Only)

  1. Copy the downloaded package to your phone.
  2. Open the app and tap the gear icon at the right corner.
  3. Locate and select the package.
  4. The package will now install and you will see the progress on the screen.
  5. Once the installation is done, Click Restart.
