OnePlus 10R starts getting Android 14 stable update

OnePlus, following Samsung, is another Android OEM that is doing well with the Android 14 rollout. The company has already released the anticipated Android 14 based OxygenOS 14 update for many eligible phones. Recently, they’ve expanded the roster to include the OnePlus 9 series, Nord 2T, and several other models. Now the company has started rolling out the stable update for the OnePlus 10R.

Usually, OnePlus officially shares the rollout details on its community forum. However, this time, that didn’t occur; instead, several OnePlus 10R users received the stable Android 14 update. As per the details, the update weighs around 191MB in download size, labeled with the CPH2423_14.0.0.210 (EX01) build number.

For the time being, the update is available to the beta testers; if everything goes fine, the update will be pushed to non-beta testers. Keep in mind that it is a major software upgrade and if your phone is on the OxygenOS 13, then the download size would be around 3-4GB. The update is seeding with the December 2023 monthly security patch alongside the new features.

Moving to the features, then OnePlus 10R Android 14 update comes with features like upgraded Trinity Engine for a performance boost, new Smart Charging system, new privacy features including an additional layer of security when granting access to photos and videos for any app, Smart Touch feature which allows you selecting text, images, or videos and paste to the clipboard, new Snapchat widget for lock screen, and more.

If you own the OnePlus 10R then you can finally upgrade your phone to Android 14. It is currently in a rolling phase and will be available to everyone soon. You can also check the updates manually by navigating to Settings > System Updates.

Keep in mind that your phone is running on the newest software version, also take a backup of important data and charge your phone at least 50%.

  1. Do not update under any circumstances if you like your battery life or use screencast.
    Yes, there is multiple issues with this release as it’s beta only!
    1. Major issue with massive battery drain, phone doesn’t last longer than 5 hours screen on.
    2. The screencast doesn’t work at all.
    3. The fingerprint option doesn’t work when trying to see barcode for hotspot setup and on various apps in general.
    Any idea when the official (non beta) version of Oxygen OS 14 for 10R will be available as I’ve seen on some pages this should be already in place for last 6 days, but haven’t received any yet. I do have IN version using in UK.
