Samsung has already released the anticipated One UI 6.1 update to many premium and mid-ranger phones. The update is also available for the affordable phones released last year.
Today, the company extends the update to its 2022 entry-level models, the Galaxy M04 and Galaxy F04. Additionally, the update is now live for Galaxy A25 5G owners in the US.
Samsung is pushing the new software upgrade to the entry-level phones with M045FXXU7EXE4 (Galaxy M04) and E045FXXU7EXE4 (Galaxy F04) build numbers. Just like the previous major upgrade, this one too weighs a big chunk of data and storage. The update on the Galaxy M04 weighs around 1.4GB in size, so ensure your phone has free space for installation.
If you own the Galaxy A25 5G and reside in the US, then the update is currently rolling out to Xfinity carrier models with the A256USQU3BXE5 software version. A broader rollout to commence in a matter of time. The update hits the Galaxy A25 with a May security update.
Talking about the features and changes, the One UI 6.1 update brings several new features and enhancements, the list includes improved gallery search, new lock screen widgets, new wallpaper editing tools, revamped calendar settings, Google Search suggestions inside the finder app, and more.
Whether you own the Galaxy M04, F04, or A25 5G, you can manually check for new updates by navigating to Settings > Software Update > Download and Install.
Remember to back up your important data before installing the update. No, the update will not erase your data, but take a backup just in case. Also, charge your phone to at least 50%.
