Samsung opens One UI 5.0 beta program for Galaxy Z Fold 3 in the US

Two days back, Samsung officially announced One UI 5 to the public. And right after the announcement, the company expanded One UI 5.0 beta testing to the Galaxy Z Flip 3 and Galaxy Note 20 series. And now the beta program goes live for the Galaxy Z Fold 3. If you own an unlocked variant of Galaxy Z Fold 3, then you can try out the features of the latest Android 13 based One UI 5.0 skin.

The Galaxy Z Fold 3 comes with Android 11 OS out of the box, within a few months of launch, the device picked up its first major OS upgrade – the Android 12 update. And back in March, Samsung pushed the incremental Android 12L based One UI 4.1 upgrade to the foldable. And now its the time for another major OS upgrade.

If you live in the US and have an unlocked Galaxy Z Fold 3, then you can take a part in the beta testing program and try out the new features. As per the previous trends, Samsung should expand the beta program to other countries including the UK, India, Germany, Poland, China, and mainland South Korea.

Talking about the features and changes, then One UI 5 is a feature-packed upgrade for Galaxy phones, seeding with a stack of new features and changes, the list includes new lock screen personalization features, new wallpapers, widget stacking, new modes and routines, improved multitasking, smoother animations, and many more. As this is the first beta build for the Galaxy Z Fold 3, you may face some bugs, we don’t recommend you install the beta build on your primary smartphone, but still, if you want to taste the new One UI 5 features, then you can opt in the beta program.
