One UI 4.1 based Android 12 beta program goes live for Samsung Galaxy M31 and M32

Samsung is testing Android 12-based One UI custom skin on many Galaxy S-series and A-series phones. A bunch of phones had already received the new update. Now it’s time for the more-affordable Galaxy M-series phones, Yes, Samsung has announced the One UI 4.1 based Android 12 beta program for two M-series phones. The new phones are the Galaxy M31 and Galaxy M32. Not only this but the beta build is based on the recently announced One UI 4.1 custom skin. Samsung kicked off the beta program on its Members app for both models. But due to high demand in the sign-up window, Samsung closed the sign-up window. We can expect another sign-up window in the coming days, so keep your eyes on the news feed section in the Samsung Members app. The program went live for Galaxy M31 and Galaxy M32 in India will join other regions very soon. The beta build is labeled with M315FDDU2ZVB8 software version on Galaxy M31 and M325FDDU2ZVB4 for Galaxy M32.

Before moving ahead, just want to tell you that, Android 12 is the last major OS upgrade for the Galaxy M31, while if you’re a Galaxy M32 user, then you’ll get an Android 13 update in the future. The Galaxy M31 was launched with Android 10 OS, while the Galaxy M32 joins the M-series portfolio with Android 11 OS.

Moving to the features and changes, then One UI 4.0 is a feature-packed custom skin bags features such as the new widgets, very smooth animations while opening and closing of apps, overhauled quick panel, automatic dark mode for wallpapers, icons, and illustrations, new charging animation, and much more. However, the One UI 4.1 brings some additional features like Google Duo live sharing feature, new image editing features including reflection and shadow eraser, share multiple files simultaneously using Quick Share feature, Grammarly integration to Samsung keyboard, and more.

If you own Galaxy M31 or Galaxy M32 and want to update your phone to the Android 12 via beta, then make sure to install the Samsung Members app from Galaxy Store or Google Play Store. After installing the app, check the news feed section, if there’s an option to sign-up in the beta program, then tap join, enter the required information. That’s it.

If your application got selected, you’ll receive the beta update via special OTA. You can head over to the Settings > Software updates, then check the new updates, once available. Before updating your phone, make sure to take a backup of important data and also charge your phone to at least 50%.
