One UI 4.0 build appears in internal testing for Galaxy A31, A32, M21, and M31

Samsung is testing Android 12 based One UI 4.0 built on the previous generation or last year’s Galaxy A-series phones. Just a few days ago, we reported that South Korean tech giant – Samsung started testing the new firmware on the Galaxy A51, A71, M32, and Galaxy F62. Now we’ve found some more information about it. And as per the information, the new build appears in internal testing for the Galaxy A31, A32, M21, and M31 phones. Read along to know more details on this.

Before moving ahead, all the above-mentioned phones are scheduled to grab the new OS in April or May. But if everything goes fine in internal testing we can expect it a few days ahead of the roadmap. The new firmware (Android 12 based One UI 4.0) appears in internal testing on the Checkfirm app. For people who are not aware of Checkfirm, then it is a third-party app that allows you to check the information of upcoming firmware or official firmware of Galaxy devices. At the moment, testing of the new firmware can be found in select regions.

Moving to the details, then Galaxy A31 (SM-A315F) firmware was discovered on 4th March with the A315FXXU1DVB7 build number, while the Galaxy A32’s firmware was discovered on 1st March and tags A325FXXU2BVB8 software version. Samsung is also testing the new firmware on the Galaxy M21 and Galaxy M31. The Galaxy M21’s firmware appears on Checkfirm on 5th March with M215FXXS2BUK2, while the M31’s build is labeled with M315FXXU2CVB8 version number and discovered on 4th March.

The firmware is marked with “C” as One UI update in the Major Version section for the M-series phones, while as it is the first major upgrade for the Galaxy A32, it is tagged with “B” version.

One UI 4.0ย is a feature-packed custom skin bags features such as the new widgets, very smooth animations while opening and closing of apps, overhauled quick panel, automatic dark mode for wallpapers, icons, and illustrations, new charging animation, and much more. You can also expect updated monthly security patch, more stability across system, and enhancements.

We can expect all the afore-mentioned Galaxy phones will get the update later this month or early next month. You can head over to the Settings > Software updates, then check the new updates, once available.
