Nokia 1.3 now receives Android 11 Update

Last month, Nokia released Android 11 Go edition based update for the entry-level Nokia 1 Plus smartphone, which was launched in 2019. Now the company has started rolling out Android 11 update for last year’s Nokia 1.3 smartphone. The first major OS upgrade on Nokia 1.3 comes with a new features, improvements, and fixes. The size of first major OS upgrade’s OTA is going to be bigger than usual incremental OTA patches, so, I suggest you to connect to your smartphone to a stable Wi-Fi connection for faster and uninterrupted downloading. Once you’ve upgraded your smartphone to the new software, it will bump up the monthly security patch version and software version of your smartphone.

The rollout has officially confirmed by Nokia on its community forum. But it I rolling out in different phases, yes, the first wave is limited to users in Australia, every unit of Nokia 1.3 is expected to receive Android 11 update by today (24th July) in Australia. And the second wave will bring the update to every region in which Nokia 1.3 is available.

Talking about the changes, then the Android 11 update come with features such as Chat Bubbles, change in Notification panel & volume controls, improved performance, and many other features. As of now, the changelog of the update is not available to use, but still you can access these features after updating your smartphone.

Nokia 1.3 Android 11 Update

Nokia always push updates in region wise manner, for the time being, the update is limited to Australia, but we’re expecting it will be available to everyone very soon. If you’re using Nokia 1.3 in Australia, then you may already received OTA notification on your smartphone. But in case you’ve not received the OTA Notification, then you can manually check the system updates and update your smartphone, by going to Settings > System > Software Update.

Before updating your smartphone, make sure to take a backup of important data and charge your device to at least 50%.
