We are talking about Nitro Nation a popular drag racing game for mobile now coming to VR on PC! Here’s everything about the release date, trailer gameplay, and other details.
Now Nitro Nation is not an unknown game. It’s been around on mobile for many years and not to forget also on the Microsoft Store on your Windows PC. The game was originally released back in 2014 and has since then been played by over 50 million people. And now that the game is finally coming to VR after 8 years, it sure is going to be interesting to see how it turns out to be. Here’s everything we know so far about the new game Nitro Nation VR.
Nitro Nation VR Release Date
The announcement for the game wasn’t publicized. In fact, the game’s Steam page listing was live on the 27th of January 2022. With that being said the release date for the Nitro Nation VR game early access release is slated for 2022. More details about the game are yet to be revealed.
Nitro Nation VR Developer and Publisher
Nitro Nation VR is being developed and published by CM Games. The same team that’s behind the original drag racing game on mobile. Nitro Nation VR will in fact be their second VR title to be released by them. They also have Troll Hunter VR which is planned to be released later this year.
Nitro Nation VR Trailer
While we all know how the game is eventually going to be, it would be interesting to see how the Nitro Nation VR trailer would showcase some VR-specific elements. There’s no trailer or teaser available for the game as of now. We’ll have to wait and see when the trailer with other details is dropped soon.
Nitro Nation VR Gameplay
Again, we do not have gameplay for the game. However, we can all assume and expect how the gameplay is going to be. You’ll be out there racing other cars, (basically AI) on a drag strip. You’ll have to time your launch control and change gears correctly to be able to take the lead over your opponent. Timing your gears is important in the game.
Now, you’ll also be able to upgrade and choose from at least 7 real-world licensed cars. 7 seems to be a small number, and we hope that the car count also increases in time for the early official release of the game. Another important thing to note is that your car’s upgrade level will affect your performance and also put you in mind with similar level opponents.
Now, the other aspects of the game include day and night cycles. You’ll have dynamic weather, along with neon-lit tracks that will give you an amazing immersive view of the game as well as the detailed interiors of the cars you’ll be drag racing in.
Nitro Nation VR Pricing and Demo
The game developers are yet to announce the prices for the VR drag racing game. However, the good part about the game is that you can try the demo, which will be available on the store page on the 22nd of February 2022. You’ll have to note that since it’s a demo and probably an early version of the game, you can expect some issues and various bugs. Everything should be perfect as and when the game is officially being released or days before its official release date.

Thankfully with Nitro Nation VR, you can choose to sit or stand to play the game. Also, it would require body tracking of your head and hands. This means you do not need to have an extremely large play area to move around and race in the game. There are three VR headsets that are supported by the game.
