The announcement trailer for My Time At Sandrock was revealed in 2020 shows off Sandrock and the different parts of the area where you will be playing and exploring in. It also shows the character collecting resources, farming crops, and even being friends with characters in the game. My Time At Sandrock Gameplay
Now, for My Time At Sandrock, the game was earlier supposed to be a DLC for the My Time At Portia game. However, with the fanbase and the community supporting the devs and the game, the Sandrock DLC will now be a full-fledged game. So what do we do in the game? Well, almost the same things that you did in Portia. At least with the new game, we get a lot of improvements. We are looking at a better graphical update, storyline, and even voice acting which was missing here and there in the older game.
The developers of the game began their journey by announcing their game on Kickstarter, whether they looked towards the community for support in terms of funds. They have been able to collect a lot of it thanks to the fans and supporters who want to get their hands on the new game. Right now, the developers have set up different milestones to which they aim to achieve quite soon. Also, the devs have released the My Time At Sandrock Story Demo earlier this year which gives you a good idea of what we can expect from the full game when it releases in 2022. If you remember, even the My Time At Portia game was first launched onto Kickstarter back in 2018.
The story demo begins with you selecting your characterโs gender and entering your player name. Plus, you have a whole lot of options to customize your character. From the skin, hair, face, eyes, and even facial hair and tattoos if you like. The game starts with the main character on a train reading the paper and looking at the ad that says a builder is wanted for Sandrock. And so your journey begins as a builder, crafting out various kinds of tools to start your work and even planting various trees and other crops in Sandrock.
Overall, the world looks much better than Portia. And with regards to the character controls and camera, we could see a few issues that could be fixed by the time the big release takes place. In the game, you will be able to make your character jump and parkour around the area. On your journey as a builder, you will be doing your best to restore the economy in the town and also return Sandrock to its mighty glory. Apart from being busy in your workshop, you will also be able to explore the wide-open world of Sandrock where you will discover various kinds of ancient artifacts.
Apart from all that, the NPCs in the game now have extended stories and you will also be able to attack enemies by using melee combat and shoot them in third-person view. The devs also say that the game will bring in the same level and even a better level of enjoyment from what was seen in the My Time At Portia game. Overall, quite exciting in every manner.

Console players will also be able to enjoy the game on the Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, PlayStation 4, and PlayStation 5.
