Motorola starts rolling Android 12 update to Moto G30

Every Android OEM is working on releasing the Android 12 update for eligible phones and Motorola is no exception. Although the American tech company is rolling the ball slowly, but better late than never, right? The company had announced the Android 12 roadmap back in December last year and started releasing the update last month starting with the Moto G Pro. Now it’s time for the second model to pick up the update. This time, Moto G30 gets the flavor of Android 12, read along to know more about Moto G30 Android 12 update.

Motorola is seeding the big update with the S0RCS32.41-10-9-2 software version to the Moto G30. Currently, the update is rolling in Brazil, many users have already received the update over-the-air, will be available to pending units very soon. The build is available for the dual-SIM model of Moto G30, the one with the XT2129-1-DS model number. It is the first big update for the Moto G30 smartphone, announced in February 2021. The new OTA comes up with the updated February 2022 monthly security patch alongside the features of Android 12.

Before moving ahead, let’s take a look at the features coming with the new build. The Android 12 update on Moto G30 bags features such as Material You, an updated notification panel, new widgets, a bunch of security and privacy features. Apart from that, the update comes with a slew of customization options such as font style, size, colors, icon shapes, layouts, wallpapers, and more from the home screen menu. You can also access the Android 12 essentials.

My UX-based Android 12 update is now available for Moto G30 smartphone. If you own the Moto G30 and want to update your phone to the new version, then you can head over to the Settings > System > Advanced > System updates and check for the new updates.

If the update is not available, you can wait for a few days. Before updating your phone make sure to charge it to at least 50% and also make a backup of important data.
