Motorola rolls out Android 11 Update for Moto G 5G Plus

For the past few days, Motorola has been releasing the Android 11 update for their smartphones. The company has recently kicked-off the newer build for Motorola Edge, Edge+, Razr 5G, Moto G8/G8 Power, and Moto G Pro. Now it’s time for the Moto G 5G Plus, the latest update bags a slew of new features, improvements, and bug fixes. Here’s everything you need to know about Moto G 5G Plus Android 11 Update.

Moto G 5G Plus was announced back in July 2020 with Android 10 OS. Now the device has started receiving its first major OS update – the Android 11 update. The newer build is sowing with RPN31.Q4U-39-27-5 software version and measures around 1GB download size. As it is a major update, it requires a chunk of data for downloading, I suggest you to connect your device to a stable Wi-Fi network for uninterrupted downloading. Android 11 update on Moto G 5G Plus knocks up with February 2021 monthly security patch.

Motorola G 5G Plus users can now access a number of new features on their device with the Android 11 update. The list include features such as Chat Bubbles, change in Notification panel & volume controls, improved performance, and many other features. As for now the changelog is not available to us, but the update should come with a bunch of new features, which are mentioned in the above paragraph.

For the time being, the Android 11 update for Moto G 5G Plus is seeding in the Brazil, we can expect a wider rollout in the coming days.

In case youโ€™ve not received the OTA notification on your Moto G 5G Plus, then I recommend you to check the updates manually in the system settings.

To manually check for updates simply go to Settings on your Moto G 5G Plus. And then go to System > Software Update. It will show the available update that you can download and install on your phone.

Before updating your smartphone, make sure to take a backup of important data. Also, make sure to charge your smartphone to at least 30%.
