Note: Latest updates are being added to the bottom of this story.

Motorola has not been impressive so far in terms of updates. But it seems it is a good month for Motorola users. After rolling out the stable Android 11 update for Moto G8, Moto G8 Power, and Motorola Edge+, it is now available for Motorola Razr 5G. Razr 5G is the third Motorola phone receiving an Android 11 update this month. Here you will know about the Motorola Razr 5G Android 11 stable update.

Motorola Razr 5G is a foldable Android phone that was released back in 2020 with an Android 10 update out of the box. The Razr phone really did well in the market and Razr 5G is a great edition in the market. And the device deserves this update. Although it came late, it brings some great features to the device.

Earlier the OEM released a list of Motorola phones eligible for Android 11 update but the list is missing the timeline for updates. Coming back to Razr 5G Android 11 updates, it is rolling out with build version RPS31.Q1-40-17-12. As of now, we don’t have the actual update size and changelog.

The latest stable Android 11 Update brings most of the Android 11 features. Some of these features are chat bubbles, Notification history, improved Notification panel, new UI for power controls, and many other features.

If we go by the Motorola Edge+ Android 11 update, the Razr 5G Android 11 update also upgrades the Android security patch to March 2021.

The Android 11 update is currently available in Japan for the Dual SIM variant with Model XT2071-4-DS. And if you have the same model then you can track your update manually by going to Settings > System > Software Update. And if the update is available on your device, click on the Download and Install button to get the latest update.

Fortunately, the Android 11 based recovery ROM is also available. In case you want to manually install the update, then you can download the given recovery ROM for the specific model.

Update 1: Available in Multiple Regions

The Android 11 for Motorola Razr 5G first rolled out in Japan last month. And at that time users from other regions only have the option to flash Android 11 firmware which we don’t recommend. Finally, after a month the stable Android 11 for Motorola Razr 5G is now available in multiple regions.

The Android 11 update starts rolling out in Australia, Europe, India, and some South American countries. Motorola Razr 5G Android 11 update comes with the February security patch. The update weighs around 1.8GB. You can manually check for the update from Settings to check if the update is available for your device or not.
