[Live for Verizon Models] Motorola now releases Android 11 Update for Moto G Power (2020)

Last month, Motorola released Android 11 update for a bunch of Moto phones including Motorola One Hyper, Moto One 5G, Razr 5G, alongside the Motorola G Stylus 2020. Now the news comes out that Motorola has started rolling out Android 11 update for the Motorola G Power (2020). The update bags a number of useful features, improvements, and fixes. A number of users have already received the new update on their smartphone. According to Kesh102 user on Motorola community forum, the latest update is seeding with a number of visual changes. As stated by a Reddit user (DashieKin), the update is limited to Tracefone users in the USA. Although, there’s no official confirmation about the rollout shared by Motorola.

Motorola was announced the Moto G Power (2020) last year with Android 10 OS. Now the device is receiving the Android 11 update with RPM31.Q1-54-13 software version number. As it is a big update, it needs a huge amount of internet data for downloading the over-the-air update. The latest update also bags February 2021 monthly security patch.

Talking about the changes, then the Android 11 update on Moto G Power comes with a slew of UI changes alongside the Chat Bubbles, change in Notification panel & volume controls, improved performance, and many other features. As for now the changelog is not available to us, but the update should come with a bunch of new features, which are mentioned in the above paragraph.

Motorola G Power (2020) Android 11 Update

Moto G Power (2020 Edition) users can now upgrade their smartphone to Android 11. As for now, the update is available for select users. If you’re in a haste then I recommend you to check the updates manually, as there are sometimes when OTA notification does not arrive. You can head over to the Settings app > System > Software Update, if the update is available then tap on Download and Install.

If the update is not available on your unit, then you can wait for a few days, staged rollouts take some time to reach every smartphone.

Update 1: Live for Verizon Models

After rolling out Android 11 for Moto G Power in the U.S for unlocked variant, the update is now available for Verizon models as well. It is not long ago when we shared that the stable Android 11 is available for the device in the US. Motorola is doing a great job rolling out Android 11 for the remaining devices.

The Android 11 for Moto G Power Verizon model is available with the same build number RPM31.Q1-54-13. It comes with the April 2021 Security patch upgrade. And if we talk about features, then you can expect the same new features as the unlocked variant. If you haven’t received the update, you will receive the update in a few days.

Before updating your smartphone, make sure to take a backup of important data. Also, make sure to charge your smartphone to at least 30%.
