Motorola is now rolling out Android 12 update for Moto G50 5G

Motorola has started pushing the major Android 12 update to the Moto G50 5G. The company released the major upgrade to the vanilla Moto G50 in April. And now is the time for the 5G model, both phones were announced in 2021 with Android 11 OS. If you own the Moto G50 5G, then you can now upgrade your phone to the new Android 12 software. The latest update comes with a flurry of new features, improvements, and fixes, read on to know more about the Moto G50 5G Android 12 update.

Motorola kicks off the new software with the S1RS32.38-20-7 build number and weighs around 1.31GB in download size, you can quickly download it on Wi-Fi network. At the moment, the update is in a rolling phase, it will be released to every device soon. A Twitter user (@veyhar26) confirmed the information of the new update. Motorola is slowly widening the Android 12 availability, we can expect more eligible phones will get the update in the coming days.

Motorola rolls out the new software to G50 5G with features like Material You, an updated notification panel, new widgets, and a bunch of security and privacy features. Apart from that, the update comes with a slew of customization options such as font style, size, colors, icon shapes, layouts, wallpapers, and more from the home screen menu. Apart from that, there’s a new security patch as well, although, the exact version of the security patch is unknown yet.

Moto G50 5G Android 12 update

If you own the Moto G50 5G and waiting for the Android 12 update, then you can now finally upgrade your phone to the new version. If you donโ€™t see the Android 12 OTA notification yet, then you can simply head over to the Settings > System > Advanced > System updates and check for the new updates.

If the update is not available, you can wait for a few days or update it manually. Before updating your phone make sure to charge it to at least 50% and also make a backup of important data.
