Exclusive – Motorola’s Bringing a Moto AI Key to the Razr 60 Ultra and Edge 60 Pro

Yesterday at YTECHB, we brought you the official renders for the Razr 60 and the Razr 60 Ultra. If you took a close look at the Razr 60 Ultra, you might have noticed a special new button towards the left side.

Apart from the Motorola Razr 60 Ultra, the new button has also been spotted on the Motorola Edge 60 Pro. Yes, there is another Edge 60 series device that Motorola is planning to launch quickly.

Take a look at this promotional image, showcasing the Razr 60 Ultra and Edge 60 Pro forming the word “AI.” The side button is visible in the image.

So, what’s the fuss about the new and interesting button on the top of the line Motorola smartphones? Let’s find out.

What Can The New Button Do on the Razr 60 Ultra and Edge 60 Pro?

As seen with the Edge 60 Fusion, Motorola is banking on its own set of AI tools and a search bar branded with Moto AI badging. The new button is rumored to invoke the Moto AI search bar, which has an on-screen interface that is similar to Google Gemini.

Pressing this button will let you easily perform several functions, such as taking notes, summarizing notifications, taking selfies, taking screenshots, creating avatars, and saving notes, and will also let you play around with generative AI via its Magic Canvas.

Will the Button be Programmable?

This is an interesting question that a lot of people will be having.ย  Because of the button placement, it is possible that accidental presses can occur. Nobody wants that, and you certainly don’t want the Moto AI virtual assistant to pop up right away.

If the button is programmable, you might be able to use it to invoke Google Assistant or Google Gemini, launch any other app of your choice, or simply let the button do nothing when pressed.

As of now, nothing can be confirmed about what this new button can do, so take this information with a pinch of salt. However, once we do get concrete information about the button, its functionality, and whether it can be customized or disabled, we will keep you updated.
